American Airlines Adds Flights to Porto, Reykjavik, Vienna and More — One Mile at a Time
Vienna next summer, anyone? American Airlines is growing its international network for summer 2027. The expansion adds eight long-haul routes, including service to Porto, Reykjavik and Vienna. The additions also include new or expanded flights to Amsterdam, Barcelona, Nice, London and Tokyo. American will become the only U.S. airline serving Vienna, with One Mile at a Time reporting that the seasonal flights will extend into early January 2028.

Over the last week, some Amex cardholders reported their scheduled autopay payments failed to process on time. This resulted in fees and forfeited Membership Rewards for some. Fortunately, Frequent Miler reports that Amex has been reversing the fees and reinstating points for affected cardholders who contact customer service.
Nashville Airport Renaming for Dolly Parton Proposed by Tennessee Governor — Billboard
Fly through the Music City in the future, and you might find yourself in an airport named for Dolly Parton. Following the singer's death, Nashville International Airport (BNA) and Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee announced plans to explore renaming the airport in her honor. The Metro Nashville Airport Authority plans to consider the proposal at its Sept. 17 meeting, with additional details to come.
Free Delta SkyMiles for Washington State Residents With 12Status — Upgraded Points
Delta Air Lines' 12Status program is back. Washington residents can rack up SkyMiles based on the Seattle Seahawks’ performance throughout the NFL season. Registered members earn 1 SkyMile for every passing yard by the Seahawks, both at home and on the road throughout the 2026-2027 season. Plus, they can receive perks like Zone 5 boarding on Delta flights from Seattle and more. Based on previous seasons, Upgraded Points projects that members could earn roughly 4,000 bonus SkyMiles over the course of the season.
