United Introduces More Flights To Japan Upgraded Points

Take note for your award flight searches. United Airlines has added yet more flights to Japan, cementing its position as the U.S. carrier transporting the most passengers there. (1.8 million of them in 2025!) Starting in December, travelers can fly nonstop from SFO to Sapporo, a seasonal route that will run three times a week. It's also launching a daily, year-round Tokyo (NRT) itinerary from ORD.

Some BOS Travelers Can Now Clear TSA Before Arriving At The Airport — View From The Wing

On the heels of this spring's TSA line madness, a new program is bringing innovation to Boston’s Logan airport. Starting in June, Delta and JetBlue travelers can check their bags and clear TSA screening at a remote location in Framingham. They'll then be securely bussed to airport gates. The facility is about 40 to 80 minutes from the airport (depending on traffic). The setup is the first of its kind in the U.S., and it sounds like more locations are on the way. Emirates Skywards recently published a notice on its mileage calculator that there will be “an adjustment to the number of miles required for Classic Reward tickets and selected Upgrade Rewards” beginning Thursday, May 21.
