Southwest Notification Vacation Promo

It's the first time I can ever remember my pile of unread notifications paying off. Through Southwest Airlines' new Notification Vacation promo, eligible Rapid Rewards members can score between 500 and 10,000 Rapid Rewards points for shamelessly showing the airline how many unread notifications they have. But you'll want to set your phone alarm and be ready to act fast when the promo opens up. There’s a limited number of points available each day. Each member is limited to one entry, and if you miss out out on your chance to enter one day, you can try again the next day instead. The landing page currently says to come back tomorrow at 12 p.m. ET / 9 a.m. PT, when the promotion will reopen. The promo is set to run through October 12, 2026, or until the available points run out. Here's how the Southwest Notification Vacation promo works.

How the Offer Works

The Southwest Notification Vacation promo is giving out a maximum of 150 million points to its members, with up to 21 million points available each day during the promo period. Here's how to grab points through the Southwest Notification Vacation promo:

  • Head to the Notification Vacation landing page.
    • The website currently says the promo will reopen tomorrow at 12 p.m. ET / 9 a.m. PT.
  • Submit a screenshot of your phone’s home screen showing your unread notifications. Southwest will verify your screenshot and calculate your award based on the number of qualifying unread notifications shown.
    • 1 unread notification earns 1 Rapid Rewards point. So, 900 unread notifications = 900 points and so on.
    • If your screenshot shows fewer than 500 unread notifications, you can still receive the minimum of 500 points.
    • Earn a maximum of 10,000 Rapid Rewards points through the promotion.
  • Rapid Rewards members are limited to 1 submission and 1 award.
  • The terms warn against using altered, fabricated, duplicated or stitched screenshots. Your submission should show your true count of unread notifications.
  • Points awarded through the promo do NOT count toward A-List, A-List Preferred or Companion Pass qualification.
  • Note: Southwest is also running a separate but complementary Airplane Mode promo. You can enter that at the same time. Take the Burnout Quiz to earn 500 points.

Terms of the Promo

Here's what else to note about the Southwest Notification Vacation promo:

  • You must be 18+, a U.S./D.C. resident, and already enrolled in Rapid Rewards. Certain Southwest employees and their families/households are excluded.
  • One submission and one award per member/Rapid Rewards account.
    • This giveaway is separate from the Burnout Quiz points giveaway, though eligible members may participate in both under their respective rules.
  • The promotion runs from Oct. 5-12, 2026, but it may end early if the points run out.
  • The maximum award is 10,000 points per member, even if you have more than 10,000 unread notifications.
  • Screenshots can’t be altered, fabricated, stitched, duplicated or otherwise misleading. Southwest recommends hiding message previews/private information before taking screenshots.
  • A submission confirmation doesn't guarantee points. Southwest can verify screenshots/account information, investigate suspected manipulation or duplicate entries, request more information, disqualify entries and reverse points already awarded.
  • Expect points within 7 days after verification.
