Park Hyatt Los Cabos Available To Book
The long-awaited Park Hyatt Los Cabos is now available to book beginning in July. I must admit each time I drive by it on my way to my favorite place in Cabo, this property doesn’t look like it will ever be done. In fact, it has been pushed back a couple of times. The last sign I saw said early 2025. We now know that means July 1, 2025.

Hyatt describes it as “exclusive Cabos del Sol community on the Baja California Sur coast”. I will say this is one of those you simply pass by on the drive into town and may not have noticed before. For perspective, if you have been, it would be about a 20 minute drive to the Waldorf Astoria. It's a 40 minute drive from Los Cabos International Airport.
You can arrange private transportation, where prices will vary. The price becomes easier with more travelers, since many companies offer one price for up to a certain number of passengers. Many of the Travel on Point(s) team have used Cabo Airport Shuttle. The service was great and easy to book. Uber now does operate at the airport, but with a bit of a catch. Uber can be a great option once at the resort too.
Park Hyatt Los Cabos: Booking Cost
This property comes in at category 8, meaning those category 1-7 certificates will not help here. While there aren't many Hyatt properties I think are worth this amount of points, I'll take one for the team here. I want to make sure it lives up to the standards, especially for maybe our biggest Park Hyatt fan in ToP, Sarah.
- 35,000 points off-peak
- 40,000 points standard
- 45,000 points peak
Here are the award costs for a standard suite:
- 56,000 points off-peak
- 61,000 points standard
- 66,000 points peak
My Booking
I was able to book for a weekend at 45,000 points per night and apply a Suite Upgrade Award. It gave me the option of either a resort view or partial ocean view with a plunge pool. I'm sure there are plenty of globalists hoping for an upgrade to a Premium Suite.
Park Hyatt Los Cabos Available To Book: ToP Thoughts
As I said, I have not found a property worth this many Hyatt points yet, although I know for many Alila Ventana is that type of property. I have high expectations for a Cabo Hyatt resort that is also a Park Hyatt. I look forward to giving an in-depth review as well as a comparison breakdown between this and the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal. The Waldorf will just be coming off a remodel in September 2025, so maybe that was part of their thinking in regard to the need. A good reminder that this will be part of my journey to Globalist as well. Even though the Waldorf Astoria recently went up in award cost, I wonder if it will still be the better value option since free night certificates worth there.
