Hyatt Regency Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel Review
It's not often that I'm writing about an airport hotel, let alone one with arguably Park Hyatt-level service. The Hyatt Regency Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel has now become one of my go-to stays for arrival or transit through Thailand. This is a newer addition to the Hyatt brand, as it used to be a Novotel hotel. This isn't the first one of those that Hyatt took over in Asia, as it became part of Hyatt on Feb. 1, 2025. There are even more renovations to come, so this hotel should only get better. Here is my Hyatt Regency Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel review.
The Cost of Booking the Hyatt Regency Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport : Is There Value in the Price?
Hyatt Regency Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel is connected to the BKK airport via an underground walkway. The walkway doesn't seem like much, as a lot of it is undeveloped, but it's an easy 5-10 minute walk. You will come out of the tunnel right at the rear entrance to the Hyatt Regency doors. There is also an ATM here, if the airport is a bit chaotic for you. This is my kind of airport hotel for its location and a variety of other reasons—but price is a big one. The hotel is only a Category 2 on the World of Hyatt award chart, meaning there is lots of value to be had here.

- 15,000 points — top
Award cost for a suite:
- 11,000 points — lowest
- 12,500 points — low

As a Globalist, I have consistently been upgraded to a suite here on multiple nights. I have always paid the (previous) standard 8,000 points. I am monitoring how the new pricing is post-devaluation, but I pre-booked some stays nonetheless. So far, all of my 8K prices have dropped to 7,500 points. I would be comfortable booking this hotel anywhere between the 6K-12K price range, if needed. One thing I love about this value: the opportunity to book this property for an affordable place to rest, shower and eat (for free with status) before or after a long flight. Checking out of your local hotel during the daytime isn't always comfortable when you have a late-night flight. For 7,500 Hyatt points, this could be a great solution. Plus, you'll pick up an elite-qualifying night toward status.
The Room: What I Liked About It & What Could Be Improved
I have always been upgraded to a suite here, as I mentioned. But all the rooms are fine, in my opinion. Hyatt has taken what was there previously and certainly put its best touches on it. The previously mentioned upcoming renovations should only improve things. The beds are comfortable, and even the standard rooms look spacious to me. The suites have plenty of space. And although the previous hotel had one of those odd setups with windows looking into the bathroom, these have curtains.
My Thoughts on the Amenities the Property Offers
As an airport hotel, guests have plenty of dining options—and more than you would expect for a regular airport hotel. It is more than enough for an overnight stay before or after a trip. The property also has a spa and pool. It's nice because you are not really close to anything, so having these options makes it nice not to have to leave the property. The pool isn't just a normal airport hotel pool either. Rather, it feels like a lush paradise escape. In fact, you might forget you are right next to an airport.
My Favorite Things About The Hyatt Regency Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport
First and foremost: The service I have experienced here has been amazing. Yes, I have Globalist status—but it's amazing to see this kind of treatment at a Category 2 airport hotel. I have had the manager greet me and give me their card if I need anything. I was welcomed at the entrance on one stay and walked to the club lounge for check-in (where the status check-in is located). The hotel has a greeter at the elevator to ensure you get going in the right direction. I have also received welcome gifts due to being a Globalist. I once stayed here on my birthday, and the staff came and sang to me in my room.
I also think the dining options here are excellent. While some of this is status-based, like the complimentary breakfast buffet, anyone can book a Club Access room, and the club lounge is great. The club lounge also acts as the status and club access check-in area. Here, you can enjoy complimentary evening food and beverages that will surely fill you up, as it is basically an entire dinner buffet.
Would I Stay Here Again?
If you've read this far, I think you know the answer. Yes, I will continue to book this again and again. As I am often almost two hours away from the airport, this makes a great spot to rest upon arrival or departure. Add in the possible low price point for the great amenities and service, and it seems like an easy decision to me.
