Hyatt Award Transfer Caps
Over the last day or so there have been some changes notated with the World of Hyatt program. These changes were first flagged by Loyalty Lobby. With the change there are now Hyatt award transfer caps in place that you should be aware of. Before you start hyperventilating, it sounds worse than it is. I doubt this will affect the vast majority of people.
Details Of The Changes
Here is what the terms say for the new Hyatt award transfer caps rule:
“As of June 7, 2025, a Member may be gifted a maximum of ten (10) transferred awards per calendar year in accordance with the process described above. This restriction applies only to the receipt of transferred gift awards. Members remain able to transfer as many eligible awards as they choose.”

The one major thing we are not aware of is if the 10 award transfer limit starts June 7th and retroactively applies to 2025, or if it starts there and goes till the end of the year. Meaning that you would get 10 more transfers from June 7th – December 31st. My guess would be that it is the latter on that, and it should reset on January 1st each year.
I don't think this is an unfair policy, since it doesn't limit anything that you have earned. It only comes into play if you are the one receiving the awards. This is likely to combat abuse of people buying Guest of Honor awards etc. online at a discount. By doing that they parade around the resort like they are a Globalist without putting in the required blood, sweat and tears – or just the money.
