Ultimate Rewards Transfers To Emirates Are Ending

Chase has quietly informed cardholders that Ultimate Rewards points transfers to Emirates Skywards miles will end on Oct. 16. That means you have a little over two months to continue to transfer Chase points to Emirates at a 1:1 ratio before that option is no longer available.

Chase's Silent Announcement

Here is what you will see in your Chase Ultimate Rewards transfer partners dashboard, as first spotted by an eagle-eyed ToP Facebook group member:

Chase Ultimate Rewards transfers to Emirates Skywards will no longer be available after October 16th, 2025

“Effective 12:00 AM ET on October 16th, 2025, the ability to transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards® points to Skywards Miles will no longer be available.”

Emirates Is Destroying What Value The Program Had As A Partner

It's the latest in a slew of bad news for travelers with transferrable credit card points looking to book award flights on Emirates. Emirates recently lowered the transfer rate for Citi ThankYou points from 1:1 to 1:0.8, meaning your Citi points won't go nearly as far as they once did when it comes to booking Emirates award flights. American Express Membership Rewards will experience a similar devaluation next month. The Dubai-based airline also just raised fees on award bookings for its fifth-freedom routes like those between the U.S. and Europe, effectively killing off the value of a beloved sweet spot.

You may be thinking of speculatively transferring Ultimate Rewards points to Emirates while you still can. But be aware that while transfers officially end at midnight on Oct. 16, it's possible Chase could pull the plug sooner. So don't wait until the last minute to transfer any points if you need to boost your balances. Always remember to only transfer if you have a known need though.

Bilt & Capital One Are Staying Strong

It still seems likely that a similar fate will befall Emirates' other transfer partners. But as of publication, Bilt Rewards and Capital One still offer 1:1 transfers to Emirates with no publicly announced plans for that to change anytime soon.
