The details of the new Hyatt Bonus Journeys promotion just dropped for winter 2025, and it leaves a lot to be desired. It feels a bit more like a Hilton promotion versus the normal excitement of a new year Hyatt Bonus Journeys promotion. Maybe we have been spoiled with status challenges and double elite night offers. Heck, I miss the old 20% back on award stays for all cardholders promo. Enough whining from me though, let's dive into this Bonus Journeys deal for the first part of 2025.

Offer Details

Here are the offer details for the Hyatt Bonus Journeys winter 2025:

• Earn 2X points for qualifying stays at more than 1,600 participating hotels
  • Essentially a bonus 5x World of Hyatt points per dollar on the stay (on top of the normal 5x earning)
  • A maximum of 20,000 Bonus Points may be earned under this promotion.
• 3X points at Hyatt Place or Hyatt House hotels
  • Essentially a bonus 10x World of Hyatt points per dollar on the stay (on top of the normal 5x earning)
  • A maximum of 10,000 Bonus Points may be earned under this promotion.
• Register by March 10, and complete qualifying stays between January 27 and March 28, 2025.
• Enrollment required

• Only Eligible Stays at participating Hyatt hotels and resorts worldwide, participating Mr & Mrs Smith hotels, and the Venetian Resort completed after registration and between January 27, 2025 and March 28, 2025 (“Promotion Period”) will count towards this promotion.
• All Eligible Stays must be completed by March 28, 2025.
• Double Points Promo
  • Beginning on your first Eligible Stay after registration and during the Promotion Period, you will receive double points per Eligible Stay at participating Hyatt hotels and resorts worldwide, participating Mr & Mrs Smith hotels, and the Venetian Resort. 
    • This promotion is not valid at Hyatt Place or Hyatt House hotels (since it is a part of the 3x promo)
• Triple Points Promo
  • Beginning on your first Eligible Stay after registration and during the Promotion Period, you will receive triple points per Eligible Stay at participating Hyatt Place and Hyatt House hotels worldwide. 
• Please allow two to three weeks after checkout for Bonus Points to be posted to your World of Hyatt account

The terms talk about an award night being eligible but I am assuming that is for when you bill something back to the room. Be careful there though, since Hyatt doesn't offer points on alcohol or any restaurant on property that they do not own themselves (which are many of them).

Hyatt Bonus Journeys Winter 2025: ToP Thoughts

I know many of us were hoping for a status challenge, double elite nights or award stays rebates – but we got double and triple nights instead. That leaves the Hyatt Bonus Journeys winter 2025 entering the scene as kind of a dud. It could still be useful if you had some cash stays upcoming, especially at a Hyatt Place or Hyatt House hotel. I would activate it now even if you don't think you will use it. Even if it ends up bringing you a few bonus points on some room charges it will be worth the effort.
