Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas Review
Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas gives you a hotel on the strip with great views and a bit of luxury, but no casino. This could be a way to enjoy Las Vegas without the hustle and bustle of a large or loud casino property. And if you have been wanting to burn some of those Hilton Free Night Certificates, this could be a good choice in a fun domestic location. In this quick Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas Review, we share why this property should be on your shortlist for your next trip to Las Vegas.

The Waldorf often gets overlooked based on where it is, even though it is almost directly on the strip. I have even seen Uber drivers have a hard time finding the entrance (although things do routinely change in Vegas due to constant construction).
Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas Review: Booking Cost
Hilton has dynamic pricing, meaning point bookings can fluctuate just like cash prices. Your best redemption is a Standard Room Reward booking, which costs 80,000 points. You can also redeem a Hilton Free Night Certificate at that price level. These free nights can be earned with certain Hilton credit cards. Your best choice for under 5/24 will be the Hilton Business card.
Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas: Rooms
The resort has 389 rooms and suites and even the standard rooms are great here. At this property guests will get to enjoy more space than the average Las Vegas room. The room not only has a nice work desk, but a small couch to lounge on as well.
My room was an upgraded Strip View room, which always makes for a great view at night. It is also nice to have the extra space and not feel cramped during my stay.
The large bathroom area with a double vanity is always a favorite of mine. The soaking tub is quite large, and the shower offers a good amount of space as well. Everything in the room really gives you a sense of luxury.
Property/Amenities
The one place where the resort may come up a bit short for some, compared to other Las Vegas options, is in the property & amenities section. Let's dive into it a bit deeper.
Dining
This property features one of my favorite late night bar options in Las Vegas, the Hotel Bar. It sits on the 23rd floor with stunning views (pictured above) down the Strip. This could be a great spot to either start or end your day (or night) in Vegas. On this same floor you will find the Tea Lounge, where you can enjoy classic English afternoon tea.
For breakfast, Zen Kitchen is located on the third floor along with a grab and go café option. This being Las Vegas and a Waldorf Astoria property, high prices for most items on the menu should not come as a surprise. The grab and go options are priced better than the restaurant itself.
If you do not have a food and beverage credit from having Hilton Honors elite status, I would skip both options. You can go to a nearby Starbucks, the CVS next door, or other more budget-friendly options.
Heath and Wellness
The resort offers a gym for those wanting to keep up with their workouts while traveling. Additionally, you will find a low key pool area, one of my Vegas favorites. The resort has two pools, one of which is adults-only as well as two hot tubs. Some fantastic Las Vegas casino building views welcome you to this large outdoor area.
During more peak travel times, you will also find a outdoor café open with seating areas that include shade for those warm Vegas days.
The pool area is large and spacious, although it may reach capacity quickly in the warmer months. It is open year-round for those that love some off-season travel.
Elite Status Recognition
This property can be great with upgrades as a Hilton Diamond member. I have received upgrades on multiple occasions, although my trips tend not to be during peak times. I have received at a minimum a Strip view room and on some occasions a suite.
Hilton provides food and beverage credit on domestic stays if you have Hilton Honors Gold or Diamond elite status. The credit is $50 per day for a Waldorf Astoria if you have two guests ($25 per day for just one guest).
Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas Review: ToP Thoughts
I love the Waldorf Astoria to experience some luxury on the Strip, without the casino hustle and bustle. The resort is a great way to relax no matter what your plans include. It also doesn't require a map or maze decoder ring to get in and out of the property like some other Vegas options. Moreover, this property offers a way to use Hilton Honors Points or Free Night Certificates in a city where cash is usually king.
