The Citi Premier card is being discontinued and it looks like current cardholders are being transitioned into the new Citi Strata Premier.

Citi Premier Card Discontinued

Yesterday, I shared some news of a new Citi product launching with a big welcome offer. The problem is it was new mostly in name only. It was more like a card update that included a name change, which was actually a positive “update” for once, but what happens if you are a current cardholder? It looks like the Citi Premier card is being discontinued and cardholders are being automatically product changed to the new Citi Strata Premier card.

Some Reddit users already see the card updated in their online Citi accounts too. I would imagine you should be getting replacement cards in the mail somewhat soon if that is the case. My guess is that your Citi Premier card should earn the same as the Citi Strata Premier if it is showing as the new card in your online account. You could always call the number on the back of your to confirm that though.
