ToP Roundup
In this series I will share articles I found interesting from all over the web. These will be articles about miles, points, travel, finance and everything in-between. Hopefully this ToP Roundup series will give you some interesting tidbits and new information you may have missed during the week. If you see anything out there that you think others may find of interest please feel free to share it with me at Mark@travel-on-points.com.
Airlines must cough up cancellation cash and can no longer hide fees under new federal rule – NBC News
There are some new protections, but most of it is kind of a nothing burger. Outside of the pandemic, I never had an issue getting a refund for a canceled flight etc. Showing all of the fees will help the less informed, but won't do much for seasoned travelers. The requirement for a refund if your bags are lost could be useful, but I bet it would be just for bag fees. Until they have a law about delayed flight compensation it just isn't enough though.
Barclays Launches Xbox Credit Card – Doctor of Credit
If they had a razzies awards for credit cards this would could win the most useless card award for 2024. This is a weird one.
California Bill Aims to Stop CLEAR Passengers From Skipping TSA Lines – Miles to Memories
That would make it pretty useless for a chunk of people. Or it would increase the cost if they implement their own lines. Hopefully it gets killed on the floor.
