Chase Matching Ink Unlimited Increased Offer
According to various reports it appears Chase is matching increased Ink Unlimited offers if you recently applied at the lower amount. According to Doctor of Credit, Chase is willing to go as far back as July 25th, 2024. Please let us know what kind of response you receive if you reach out to Chase. Best practices for when you do are laid out below.
History With Matching The Ink Preferred Offer
A ToP Facebook Member was told by a Chase rep that they will not match the offer if it was before May 23rd, 2024. That would make some sense with their normal timelines, but we need more data points to see if this is accurate. If you received a match after signing up prior to May 23rd, or were denied from an application after that, let us know in the ToP Facebook Group.
Does Chase Match Increased Welcome Offers?
Typically, Chase has always been generous about matching higher welcome offers for recent card applicants. A couple of years ago, we even saw them go back more than 3 months for some people.
So far, we have seen a number of the data points in the ToP Facebook Group that multiple people have received an offer match.
In the past, we saw that it was more common for folks to receive a match when they did not use a personal referral link, such as when the Chase Sapphire Preferred card had an elevated offer. In turn, Chase appeared less willing to match the elevated offer for applicants who used a personal referral offer.
How To Ask For Chase To Match The Increased Offer
You have better chances for success if you are still working on your minimum spend requirement. I would still reach out if you recently earned the welcome offer though. If I had signed up in the last 90 days, the standard welcome offer spending period, then I would give it a shot. Heck, I might try even if outside of that window. All they can say is no after all.
The best way to ask if they are matching to the new Ink Preferred welcome offer is to send Chase a secure message when logged into your account. Select your new Ink Preferred card and send a message for that specific card.
I usually say something along the lines of:
I recently signed up for the Chase Ink Business (Insert Card Name) and noticed that the offer has just been increased. The offer went from (Insert Old Amount) Ultimate Rewards to (Insert New Amount) Ultimate Rewards. Is there anyway I could please be matched to that higher offer since it has only been a few weeks since I was approved?
Matching Chase Ink Preferred Offers: ToP Thoughts
Hopefully everyone is successful matching Chase Ink offers and getting the full amount of the increased offers as they come out. It sure stinks to grab a card only to see the welcome offer increase shortly thereafter.
If you send a secure message to Chase, and ask for a match, be sure to let us know how it goes over in the ToP Facebook Group.
