Capital One Lifestyle Collection
Yesterday Capital One announced new program called The Lifestyle Collection. It is touted as a curated selection of hotels offering VIP perks. This looks like a lighter version of the American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts or Chase Luxury Hotel and Resort Collection programs. It will be launching later this year.

Here is what the press release had to say about the program:
Making the most out of travel experiences with family and friends is something we know our
customers value more than ever before. They are looking for an amazing place to stay that offers
VIP-level benefits, but they don’t want to — or have the time to — weed through countless options.
That’s why our new Lifestyle Collection, launching later this year on Capital One Travel as a
complement to Premier Collection, offers a curated selection of hotels hand-picked by Capital One’s
team of experts. Every Lifestyle Collection booking will come with a suite of enriching benefits —
including a $50 experience credit — and enhanced earn and redemption. The Lifestyle Collection is
made up of boutique, immersive properties located in the heart of the action that offer top-notch
dining, lively public spaces with modern design, and authentic programming that fosters local art and
culture.
The new Lifestyle Collection will join the Premier Collection as a suite of benefits that is available
exclusively to eligible Capital One cardholders via Capital One Travel. Response since launching the
Premier Collection for our Venture X cardholders earlier this year has been fantastic — and we’ve
heard from customers that they are also looking for vibrant hotels that offer lively experiences,
trendy, modern design, and great service. With this in mind, we are introducing the Lifestyle
Collection for Venture X, Venture X Business, Venture, and Spark Miles cardholders to offer even more
options for a memorable stay.
Capital One Lifestyle Collection: ToP Thoughts
Much of this will depend on which properties they get into the program. If they get some interesting ones it could be something worth checking out when booking. Especially if booking a boutique hotel that isn't a part of a loyalty program.
The increased earning rates, since it is through the Capital One portal, is a nice perk too. That on top of the $50 credit might make it worthwhile for a one night stay. It should hopefully count towards the $300 travel credit on the Venture X personal and business cards since it is through the Cap One travel portal. That would be a nice double dip!
What do you think of the new program? Could it be something useful when stacked with your travel credit or is it just more noise? Let us know in the ToP Facebook Group.
