avianca lifemiles 120K Offer

There is a new Cardless avianca lifemiles 120K offer that just rolled out, and I find it mighty intriguing. Which makes it all the more sad that I can not actually get it myself, because of the worst application rule in the credit card space, but more on that later. Interesting enough, the avianca lifemiles card is processed on the American Express network but is issued by Cardless. This is a card that will count against your Chase 5/24, since it is a personal card, and that were be a deterrent for some. On top of that, you need to really need to want it…because of that aforementioned treacherous rule.

Offer Details

Here are the details for the 120K offer for the avianca lifemiles American Express Elite Card from Cardless:

  • Earn 80,000 lifemiles after you spend $4,500 on the card within the first 90 days.
  • Earn an additional 40,000 miles after you spend $25,000 on the card within the first year.
    • The first $4,500 in spend counts towards the $25,000 requirement.
  • The $249 annual fee is NOT waived
  • Direct Link

The previous high was for 100,000 miles in total, with the same required spend set up as above. This is now the best ever offer by 20%.

Earning Structure

There is no doubt that $25,000 is a lot of spend, so let's look at what the Cardless avianca lifemiles American Express Elite Card earns on those swipes:

  • 3x of avianca and lifemiles purchases
  • 2x on
    • Travel
    • Restaurants
  • 1x on every other eligible purchase
  • Direct Link

Card Perks

  • avianca silver status
  • 10% off Star Alliance award redemptions
  • 25% off avianca flight award redemptions
  • Silver elite status perks

The Horrible Cardless Application Rule

Now to the part of why I am not eligible for this avianca lifemiles 120K card offer. It is because Cardless has the most punitive application rule in the business. That is kind of impressive in an infamous way, since there are so many of them. The rule in question is that you can only get one Cardless card for your entire life. Not that you can only carry one card at one time, or that you can get each card only once. No, it is you can only be approved from one Cardless card for eternity. It is a terrible rule that I am surprised that Cardless' co-branded partners are okay with. Because of that, you will only want to grab this if you want the avianca lifemiles American Express to be your forever Cardless card.

Cardless avianca lifemiles 120K Offer: ToP Offers

The Cardless avianca lifemiles 120K offer is a really compelling offer if you can manage the $25,000 in spend. Luckily you get the entire year to hit most of it. Some may not think the spend required is worth it, and that may be true for your situation, but it isn't always the way you should think about large offers.

It is a card that I would only grab if you are over 5/24, or if you already have most of the Chase cards you need. You will also want to look at the other cards that Cardless has to offer and make sure one of them doesn't fit your needs better. That is because once you grab this you will not be eligible for anything else.

The card does come with a lot of perks that make the $249 annual fee worth it. Well, as long as you book often with avianca lifemiles and can maximize the discount on award bookings that is. The earning structure isn't super impressive, so I wouldn't focus on spending on the card once you reach the required $25,000 in spend.
