There are multiple Amex Offers for general spend on people's accounts. Some of these are pretty tempting, as they don't require going to a specific store. Rather, you just need to spend in a specific category type. These are my favorite kind of Amex Offers by the way. Let's take a look.

Here are the different Amex Offers for general spend that have been spotted (HT DoC)

• Grocery
  • Earn 5% cash back, with a $15 maximum
  • Earn 10% cash back, with a $20 maximum
  • Get 2x bonus Membership Rewards points per $1, up to 2K points (in addition to your normal earning)
  • Get 4x bonus Membership Rewards points per $1, up to 2K points (in addition to your normal earning)
• Gas
  • Get 5x bonus Membership Rewards per $1, up to 2,000 bonus points (in addition to your normal earning)
• Spa Purchases
  • Get 5x bonus Membership Rewards per $1, up to 2,000 bonus points (in addition to your normal earning)
  • Get 5% back on purchase, with a $15 maximum

The spa, or personal care, is the only option that doesn't excite me much. So, of course, that is the one my accounts got. Hopefully some of you were luckier than me.

Amex Offers For General Spend: ToP Thoughts

These Amex Offers for general spend are a nice way to rack up some cash back, or bonus points, for some of your everyday purchases. If you see multiple options, then I believe you should be able to load one of each kind. Best practice is to load the one you want most first, just in case. If you get these on a card that earns bonus points in that category already, like Amex Gold and grocery, then this becomes a nice stack. That would be like earning 8x on $2K in grocery spend.
