Chase Matching 150k Offer

Chase continues to put out new all-time high offers on the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, one of our ToP cards for travelers. We say every day that this premium card is always worth the annual fee in year one. But what if you recently signed up for this card at the lower 125K offer? Does Chase normally match increased offers? Will they be matching Chase Sapphire offers for anyone that recently signed up for the card? Or, are you just stuck with the lower offer? If you are stuck, do not be too disappointed. It was still a great offer at 125K. Let’s get into the data points.

Does Chase Match Increased Sign Up Bonuses?

For the most part, Chase used to be really good about matching higher welcome offers for recent card applicants. Usually the chances are better on transferable currency cards. We have seen them deny matches on co-branded airline cards previously. However, over the last couple of years it seems to go back and forth. Most recently there has been a specific cut-off date for applicants. So far from the data points I have seen in the ToP Facebook Group is that many people have been approved for an offer match. The cut off appears to be April 20th, based on all the data points so far.

How To Ask For Chase To Match The Increased Offer

You have better chances for success if you are still working on your minimum spend requirement. I would still reach out if you recently earned the welcome offer though. It is always worth asking. Heck, I might even try it outside of that date window above. All they can say is no.

The best way to ask if they are matching Chase offers is to send them a secure message when logged into your account. Select your new Chase Sapphire Reserve®  card and send a message for that specific card.

I always say something along the lines of:

I recently signed up for the Chase Sapphire Reserve and noticed that the offer has just been increased. The offer went from 125,000 Ultimate Rewards to 150,000 Ultimate Rewards. Is there anyway I could be matched to that higher offer since it has only been a few weeks since I was approved.

If they approve you for the match, keep a record and screenshot of that message and follow up after you have met the minimum spend. Sometimes their wording can be a bit confusing. Once you get a reply, meet the spend on your card and then follow up replying to that same message.

Chase Matching 150k Offer: ToP Thoughts

Hopefully everyone is successful matching Chase Sapphire Reserve®  offer and getting that full 1500,000 Ultimate Rewards points offer. Nothing stings more than grabbing a new card only to see the offer jump up a few weeks later. But remember, if you are in this hobby long enough, offers always change. Have you gotten a match?
