Club Mobay Montego Bay Review
Many of our premium credit cards offer a free membership to Priority Pass lounges, which give us access to a variety of lounges in airports all over the world. Some of these lounges are a little vague with how to gain access and what's included. In my Club Mobay Montego Bay review, I’ll break down everything you need to know about these lounges at Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ). And if you're considering the Hilton Rose Hall Montego Bay, you can check out my review on that resort here.

ToggleClub Mobay Montego Bay: Skip The Line Service
A popular destination in the winter months, many people flock to Jamaica during the holidays and school breaks. This can create long lines at customs and immigration, and Club Mobay Montego Bay offers a skip-the-line service that can save you hours during peak times. After you exit the plane, a Club Mobay rep will greet you and escort you to a special immigration line. Once past immigration, they will walk you to the arrivals lounge with complimentary food, beverages, and a place to sit.
Your Priority Pass membership does not include The Club Mobay skip-the-line service and arrivals lounge. Adult entry costs $50 per person, and kids ages 2-12 are $25 (kids under 2 are free). You must book in advance at the VIP Attractions website. I booked the Club Mobay arrival service because we were arriving on a Saturday in January, and I thought there was a strong chance there would be a long line. I was happy to spend $150 if it saved my family an hour or two after an early flight. The process was seamless, and we were through immigration and customs in minutes. It was not as busy as I expected (we were not traveling during a holiday or school break), so we really didn’t need it.
Club Mobay Montego Bay: Arrivals Lounge
After clearing customs, we really just wanted to hop onto our shuttle to the hotel, but we were ushered into the tiny dining area and offered food and drink menus. The arrivals lounge is only really good for three things:
- If you need a quick bite after your flight
- If you want to hang out at the airport for a while while waiting for someone
- If you know you won’t be able to check into your hotel right away
I grabbed a jerk chicken wrap, which was edible but not great. The bathrooms are so small that we didn’t even get a chance to use them because of a long line. I recommend skipping the Club Mobay Montego Bay arrivals lounge if you'll be able to check into your hotel early.

Departures Lounges
MBJ has two Club Mobay departures lounges (airside near gates 9 and 12). Your Priority Pass membership includes access to Club Mobay Montego Bay departures lounges, but only if there’s space. However, for a $5 per person fee, Priority Pass members can reserve a spot to guarantee entry. This fee also grants access to a priority line through security. I used my Priority Pass membership that came with my Bank of America Premium Rewards Elite card, which offers unlimited guest access. Otherwise, the lounge is $35 per adult, and $23 per child (kids under two are free).
We first attempted to access the club near gate 12, but it was reserved for adults only due to renovations underway in the kids area. We then backtracked to the other one near gate 9, and found it to be busy, but not overcrowded at all. Again, we probably didn’t need to pay the extra to reserve our spot, but I am sure they get much more crowded during peak times. This club was surprisingly nice, and we sat at a table near the kids’ play area, which was enclosed by glass. The play area had toys and a TV playing cartoons, and it was the perfect spot to let our kids entertain themselves while mom & dad got some lunch. Floor to ceiling windows offer views of the tarmac, and monitors around the lounge displayed flights and their gates / status.

The Food
A server promptly greeted us and took our drink orders – mimosas for mom & dad and juices for the kids. Food at Club Mobay Montego Bay departures lounges is much better than the arrivals lounge. The arrivals lounge set the bar really low, and it's much better in departures. We got there right as they were changing breakfast over to lunch, so everything was fresh.
- Beef and chicken pies
- Pasta salads
- Veggies
- Fruit
- Rice & beans
- Wraps
- Jerk chicken
- Muffins
- Chips
- Soups
- Desserts
The lounge also had a full bar, and self-serve soft drink, coffee, and juice stations. The service was great and it was overall a very pleasant experience.
Club Mobay Montego Bay Review: ToP Thoughts
Club Mobay Montego Bay arrival meet-and-greet service can save you lots of time during very high-volume times. I really enjoyed the uniqueness of it and am glad it is offered as a possibility, especially at peak travel times. Having said that, it’s probably not necessary during regular and off-peak times. The departures lounge was great for us, especially because of the kids’ play area. The lounge was a lot nicer than I had expected overall. I probably wouldn't even waste my time going to the arrivals lounge again though. That is unless I met one of the three situations I outlined above.
