Airline Amex Offers

There are three new airline Amex Offers that may be of use to some of you. They offer savings for Alaska Airlines, Virgin Airlines and Air France / KLM. I think that the Alaska Amex Offer is the best of the bunch, but you may think differently depending on your upcoming travels.

Details For Each Offer

Let's go through the details for each of these one by one. These are all targeted offers and must be found in the Amex Offers section of your credit card accounts. Virgin Atlantic

First up is the Virgin Atlantic airline Amex Offer:

Earn a one-time $300 statement credit after using your enrolled eligible Card to spend a minimum of $2,000 in one or more purchases online at virginatlantic.com by 12/31/2024.
Flight must originate in US and be charged in USD to qualify.

Air France / KLM

Here are the details for the Air France / KLM airline Amex Offer:

Earn 20,000 additional Membership Rewards points after using your enrolled eligible Card to spend a minimum of $1,000 in one or more purchases online at airfrance.us or KLM.com by 12/31/2024.
Flight must originate in US and be charged in USD to qualify.

Alaska Airlines

I saved the best for last, at least to me, with this Alaska Airlines Amex Offer:

Earn a one-time $40 statement credit after using your enrolled eligible Card to spend a minimum of $200 in one or more purchases online at alaskaair.com by 12/31/2024.
Flights must originate in the US and be charged in US Dollars.

Airline Amex Offers: ToP Thoughts

While the Virgin Atlantic and Air France / KLM Amex Offers may be useful for some, I think the Alaska Airlines could be a winner for many. The low threshold to hit the bonus will likely be more attractive.

You should be able to lock in the discount with Alaska and turn it into a travel credit if you want to use it a bit later. You would have to book a main cabin, non saver flight for that to be the case and then cancel it. Only do that if you know for sure you would use it within the next year, or before the credit would expire.
