They transfer you to the timeshare presentation desk and a rep tries to get you to sign up for a timeshare offer. They will often offer you points and a discounted stay to entice you to book one. The problem was I already had one booked, thanks to their massive 150K offer earlier this year. I was super curious to see what would happen because of that.

When the timeshare rep got on the phone she quickly took down my information, things like my Hilton Honors number and address etc., then she said that she had great news. She saw that I already had a timeshare presentation set up for later this year and knew I was going to enjoy myself. After that, she said she can not sell me a second one but she would still process the points and they should hopefully post shortly. The caveat was as long as I hadn't taken a similar offer within the last 6 months, which I had not. After about two minutes on the phone with her, from start to finish, I hung up and checked my account. Wouldn't you know it, the 1,000 points were already in my account!
