Increased Qatar Cardless Offers

There are some new increased Qatar Cardless offers that may be of interest to people over 5/24 out there. Just remember that Cardless doesn't have the best customer service and just no notice shut down an entire card line. I don't think that is a real risk with these cards, at least not anytime soon, but it is something to be aware of. The bigger focus should be on Cardless' one card per lifetime (across all of their cards) rule. You will want to make sure this is your forever card, and better than something like the Lifemiles Cardless card.

Offer Details

There are two different Qatar Cardless cards with increased offers. One is a mid-tier card, and the other is a premium card (at least in annual fee cost). Let's take a look at the offers on both:

  • Qatar Airways Privilege Club Signature Credit Card
    • Earn up to 60,000 bonus Avios till March 31, 2025
      • 20,000 bonus Avios after first transaction
      • 40,000 bonus Avios after spending $3,500 in the first 90 days
    • $99 annual fee
    • Link To Offer
  • Qatar Airways Privilege Club Infinite Credit Card
    • Earn up to 85,000 bonus Avios till March 31, 2025
      • 25,000 bonus Avios after first transaction
      • 60,000 bonus Avios and 150 Qpoints after spending $6,000 in the first 90 days
    • $499 annual fee
    • Link To Offer

I think most people will be more attracted to the Signature card and the $99 annual fee. For $499 the Infinite card should come with some pretty good perks though, right? Since this is a once per lifetime choice we need to be sure before pulling the trigger on either. It is about a lot more than the welcome offer this time around. Let's look at the card earning structures first though.

Increased Qatar Cardless Offers

Card Earning Rates

Here are the earning rates for each of the Qatar Cardless cards:

  • Qatar Airways Privilege Club Signature Credit Card
    • 4x Avios on Qatar Airways spends
    • 2x Avios on restaurant spends
    • 1x Avios on other eligible spends
  • Qatar Airways Privilege Club Infinite Credit Card
    • 5x Avios on Qatar Airways spends
    • 3x Avios on restaurant spends
    • 1x Avios on other eligible spends

Decent rates on Qatar flights and restaurant spend, but not a ton to work with here. The is true of most airline credit cards, and that is why I think the Aeroplan card was such a breath of fresh air.

Card Benefits

Here are the benefits for each card that come with these increased Qatar Cardless offers. This is actually the most important section, because of the forever choice you need to make with Cardless cards. It isn't worth burning your one Cardless spot for a card you don't planning on keeping long term.

  • Qatar Airways Privilege Club Signature Credit Card Perks
    • Enjoy Silver tier benefits instantly after being accepted for this credit card (first year only)
    • Collect 2 Qpoints for every 2,000 Avios earned with this credit card*
    • Enjoy reward fee waivers on award flights with us upon meeting qualifying eligibility criteria
      • For cardholders that spend $15,000 in the first year and $25,000 in subsequent years
        • After all sectors in the  Award ticket are fully flown, the Reward Flight Fee will be refunded by way of a statement credit in the subsequent statement cycle after the cardholder becomes eligible for the Reward Flight Fee Waiver.
  • Qatar Airways Privilege Club Infinite Credit Card
    • Enjoy Gold tier benefits instantly after being accepted for this credit card (first year only)
    • Collect 2 Qpoints for every 1,500 Avios earned with this credit card**
    • Enjoy reward fee waivers on award flights with us upon meeting qualifying eligibility criteria
      • For cardholders that spend $15,000 in the first year and $25,000 in subsequent years
        • After all sectors in the  Award ticket are fully flown, the Reward Flight Fee will be refunded by way of a statement credit in the subsequent statement cycle after the cardholder becomes eligible for the Reward Flight Fee Waiver.

Increased Qatar Cardless Offers: ToP Thoughts

These increased Qatar Cardless offers are tempting (for those over 5/24), but require some serious contemplation. This isn't just a decision about whether or not a welcome offer is worth it, not with Cardless. This is a decision on which card is going to be your once in a lifetime, forever card. The best competition for that title is probably the avianca lifemiles cards Cardless offers.

Between the two Qatar cards I was intrigued by the Infinite card at first. The Gold status, which gives you Sapphire oneworld status, looked mighty tempting. That would give you access to American Airlines and Alaska Airlines lounges in the US. Potentially a lot of value right there for a $500 annual fee, but that was until I read the small print and saw it was only for the first year. In year two the Infinite card offers no meaningful perks for that annual fee. That is unless you have a metric butt ton of dining spend and are chasing status via that route.

Personally, I think the lifemiles cards offer more meaningful perks long term. That is true if you use the lifemiles program often at least. Let me know what you think about these offers over in the ToP Facebook Group.
