$300 Chime Bank Bonus
We're back with an all time high $300 Chime Bank Bonus. We've previously written about the $250 bonus, but this is obviously better. The one downside, just like the recent Discover checking account, is that it requires you to go through Swagbucks to get it. Some have had issues in the past with Swagbucks, and refuse to use them, but I will offer an alternative for that below as well. Personally, I've had no issues with Swagbucks and have used it for 2+ years.

ToggleHere is our Swagbucks Referral if you don't have an account ($10 new member bonus). You can stack this new member bonus with the $300 bank bonus.
What are Swagbucks?
Swagbucks is a website but it is also a currency. When you complete tasks on the site you earn Swagbucks. These are worth at least 1 cent a piece and can be redeemed towards 3rd party gift card, virtual Visa gift cards and even PayPal or ACH cash outs. I say they are worth at least 1 cent a piece because once a month you can redeem 2,200 Swagbucks towards a $25 gift card, making them worth 1.14 cents each for those redemptions. This works on the virtual Visa cards, as well as, popular brands like Amazon. They will also run sales on different brands sometimes giving you a chance to cash out at rates better than 1 cent. Home Depot cards were one such example.
Chime Offer Details
Let's take a look at the details of the $300 Chime Bank Bonus:
- Award for enrollment (100 Swagbucks) is independent of the award for Direct Deposit (30,000 Swagbucks).
- Must be a new Chime customer.
- For Direct Deposit award please follow all steps below.
- Sign up with Chime between 6/30/24 and 7/31/24 to earn 100 SB.
- Download the Chime App.
- Access your new Chime account number and routing number from the app.
- Add your Chime account number and routing number to your payroll contact or service to make payroll direct deposits into your Chime account.
- You must have at least two (2) consecutive qualifying payroll direct deposits of at least $200 each to your Chime account to earn 30,000 SB.
- The first payroll direct deposit must be received within 30 days of your account signup date.
- Here is our Swagbucks Referral if you don't have an account ($10 new member bonus)
I like that this offer requires a smaller direct deposit requirement compared to some other bank bonuses. If you don't want to do a standard direct deposit there are some other options. You can see all of the recent data points HERE. It looks like it takes 4 – 5 days after the second direct deposit hits for the Swagbucks to show as pending.
What About People That Don't Want to Use Swagbucks?
If you have a history with Swagbucks, and prefer to avoid them, then this is also available via MyPoints. I have never used their service so I can not say anything about them one way or another. Even if you went with MyPoints it would require another secondary account to be able to get the offer. If that is the main roadblock to you taking this offer there is one more option.
There is a personal referral offer out there too for Chime. This is not as good as the Swagbucks or MyPoints offer, but it eliminates the middle man, and it appears it posts more quickly. The offer is for $100 after just one direct deposit over $200 within 45 days. I may go this route for my wife since I did the Swagbucks offer for myself. That would net me $100 for referring her and then $100 for her when she completes the direct deposit requirement. It may be worth giving up the extra $45 that Swagbucks offers just to simplify things. If you are in a two player system you may want to do that for the second person's account too.
If you prefer to go this route, and would take the easier to snag $100, here is My Chime Referral. I would say go the Swagbucks route but I understand if you don't want to mess with all of that.
What About a Double Dip?
Some people have tried to double dip the personal referral and the Swagbucks offer. There have been some that have had luck in the past, but I don't know if that is still working for many. I would probably avoid it since they seem to be denying the Swagbucks for people that got the personal referral now.
$300 Chime Bank Bonus: ToP Thoughts
This $300 Chime bank bonus is good enough to get me off the sidelines this time around. Mark took the jump earlier this year when it was $245 and the process was seamless for him. I just set up my account and followed Mark's lead. I signed up, then went to Chase to set up Chime as an external account so I can push the $200 over twice. That should hopefully trigger the direct deposit requirement, at least according to the data points it should. Remember that there are always risks of it not working if you go this route.
I'll then refer Sarah to the same bonus. With the prior bonus, using Chime's own referral program netted each person $100. But going through Swagbucks a second time leads to another $300 bonus (and $30 to the referrer).
