Flights off Maui
Our hearts are breaking for the devastation from the wildfires on Maui. We were alerted tonight in our Facebook group that Southwest Airlines has responded to the crisis and to aid all of the folks left stranded on the island. If this is you, or you have friends or loved ones on the island, consider booking Southwest flights off Maui ASAP.
Update 8/15/23: $19 fares off Maui now go through August 20, 2023.
Southwest Airlines Response
Southwest Airlines is discounting all non-stop flights off Maui to neighboring Hawaiian islands. These fares are only $19 on these non-stop flights and are available August 10 and August 11. So far, I have confirmed $19 flights to Oahu, Kona, and Lihue on both of these days. Most, if not all, of these flights still have 8+ seats remaining, but book fast.

UPDATE: Hawaiian Airlines has also dropped fares on nonstops flights off Maui to $19. Flights are available to Honolulu on August 10 and August 11 and some flights have as many as 7+ seats available.
Flights off Maui: ToP Thoughts
This is absolutely incredible that Southwest is responding to this crisis with flights off Maui for $19. However, if you rush to book this, please also consider lodging. In a quick glance of Hyatt properties on neighboring islands, it appears no points rates remain available over the next few days and cash fares are over $1,000+/night. Attempt to find lodging in conjunction with any airfare.
