Virgin Atlantic Amex Offer

There is a new Virgin Atlantic Amex Offer that rolled out over the last week that you will want to check your accounts for. Just like all Amex Offers, this is a targeted offer and not everyone will get it. While the payoff is large, at $250, the spending required is large too, at $1,800. It could be useful if you have some cash flights you are looking to book over the pond. It seems like this should work on award taxes and fees as well, but I can't say that for sure. Earn a one-time $250 statement credit after using your enrolled eligible Card to spend a minimum of $1,800 in one or more purchases online at virginatlantic.com by 3/30/2025.
Flight must originate in US and be charged in USD to qualify.

Notable Terms

Here are some notable terms for the Virgin Atlantic Amex Offer:

Offer valid for one way and round-trip purchases made directly with Virgin Atlantic Airways, online at US website virginatlantic.com, or through the Virgin Atlantic Airways mobile app only.
Flights must originate in the US. Valid only for purchases where Virgin Atlantic Airways is the merchant of record.
Excludes desk ticket and call center bookings, in-flight purchases, luggage charges and meals.
Offer valid only on purchases made in US dollars.
Offer only valid on purchases made directly with the merchant.
Offer not valid on purchases made using third parties, such as resellers, delivery services, or other intermediaries.

Virgin Atlantic Discount: ToP Thoughts

While the spending requirement for the Virgin Atlantic Amex Offer is large, so are their award taxes and fees. A family may be able to trigger the $250 credit on a one way booking, and most certainly would on a roundtrip international flight. Especially if you are booking into the higher classes of service. That is all assuming it triggers on taxes and fees like we assume it would. It could also be useful for some cash bookings, if you had been considering that already.
