ToP Roundup
In this series I will share articles I found interesting from all over the web. These will be articles about miles, points, travel, finance and everything in-between. Hopefully this ToP Roundup series will give you some interesting tidbits and new information you may have missed during the week. If you see anything out there that you think others may find of interest please feel free to share it with me at Mark@travel-on-points.com.
Southwest Launches Cash & Points Option (Useless) – Doctor of Credit
This is downright scammy and predatory in my opinion. Even Delta gives you 1 cent for every mile on points & cash bookings, and their points are worth less than Southwest Rapid Rewards overall. Dropping some of these down towards a half a cent is a horrible redemption. Especially when Southwest's points program is dynamic with a somewhat fixed rate value for points. It makes no sense to devalue it by half at times.
Citi, Chase and Barclays Cards Will Cover The Higher $120 Global Entry Fee – Danny the Deal Guru
Would make sense to keep it at the old level. Every bank should do this for any cards with the perks, and I assume they all will in time.
WORLD’S MOST PHOTOGRAPHED HOTEL REVIEW: FAIRMONT LE CHATEAU FRONTENAC – Takeoff to Travel
What a cool looking hotel. I love the history and architecture of the place, but they were still able to keep it fresh and modern.
