Restaurant Apps That Allow Cash Loads

I have been meaning to get an article together on restaurant apps that allow cash loads for a while now. A big part of the reason why is because I figured it would be an easy way to take advantage of Bilt rent day. If you are a Bilt Mastercard credit card holder then you can earn 6x on all restaurant charges the first of every month. That is because earnings are doubled on Rent Day as a part of the monthly promo. This could also be useful for other spending offers, Amex Offers, Chase Offers and other deals you may see along the way with other cards too.

Plus, with the new Rent Day cap that will soon be rolling out this is a way to quickly max out the 1,000 bonus points. It would only require $333 in loads to get there each and every month.

First Things First, A Word Of Caution

There are some downsides to restaurant apps that allow cash loads. The first one being that you are giving a business what is essentially an interest free load. With rates over 5% for high yield savings accounts right now, that isn't nothing. For that very reason, and a few others, I would only load what you plan to use somewhat soon. If you won't use it within the next month then definitely don't do it, since you get another chance every 1st of the month.

Going along those same lines, these funds are not FDIC insured like they would be chilling in the bank. If the business folds then you could be out that money. The same could be said if something is hacked and someone drains your balances.

Lastly, it may be possible to get better deals directly from stores, or 3rd parties, during sales etc. Those Amazon pay with points promos and Target Circle offers can come in handy for these type of things.

List Of Restaurant Apps That Allow Cash Loads With Your Credit Card

If you have another restaurant to add to the list please let me know over in the ToP Facebook Group and I'll add it in.

In App Restaurant Loads
  • Starbucks
  • Chic Fil A
  • Dunkin Donuts
  • InKind
  • Whataburger
  • Wendy's
  • Sonic
  • Dutch Brothers
  • Compass Coffee
  • Scooters
  • Einstein Bagel Bros

I would do a smaller load ahead of rent day and make sure it codes properly before going full ham.

Store Card Loads

Here are some restaurants that allow you to add a store specific card and use at a later date. That means you could load one of their store cards on rent day and then get it set up in the app for later use. It may work buying it from their site online too, but I would try a small amount first to see how it codes. Sometimes they are sold via third party vendors.

  • Chipotle
  • Panera Bread
  • Grubhub
  • Taco Bell
  • Domino's
  • Cafe Rio

Once again, if you think anything should be added to this list please let me know over in the ToP Facebook Group.

Maximizing Bilt Rent Day: ToP Thoughts

If you have never considered restaurant apps that allow cash loads for Bilt Rent Day it could be a way to maximize your earnings without a ton of effort. Especially now that the caps are lower it will be important to take advantage of it as you can. This can also be helpful information for other instances that I listed above. Especially if you know you wouldn't be able to fully realize an offer before it expires for one of these locations.
