Positive Chase Sapphire Developments
I know that everyone has been pretty excited about the increased offers on the Chase Sapphire Preferred and Chase Sapphire Reserve cards. Any time that you can get 25% more from the welcome offer, excitement is to be expected. I wanted to take a second to update people on two other positive Chase Sapphire developments that have happened over the last few days, in addition to those increased welcome offers.
Refer A Friend Offers Increased
Whenever a Chase card offer gets increased the first question we get, and seemingly 100s of times after that, is, will this offer come to personal referrals? We always say they usually will, they just can be delayed a week or two. That is exactly how this worked out too. The refer a friend offers are showing the increased amounts now, so you can get your referral points and your significant other / family member etc. can earn the higher bonus.
If neither of you have the card yet, then you should be able to sign up and refer them after getting your card. So there is still time to kind of “double dip” this with the referral. Chase Is Matching The Higher Offer (YMMV)
Chase is the best bank in terms of matching recently new cardholders to an increased offer if that comes out. At one point they were insanely generous about it, going back as far as like 6 months. They have tightened up since then, but if you grabbed one of these two cards in the last month or so you have a good shot. You may need to try several times, and it appears that calling in has had better results versus sending a secure message.

These two positive developments, along with the higher welcome offers, should put a smile on a lot of people's faces. Especially if you have had a pit in your stomach over the last week,because you signed up for a Preferred three days before the offer shot up by 25%!
