Las Vegas Hard Rock Status Match

I wanted to provide and update for the Las Vegas Hard Rock status match. It is still going strong, but not as strong as it once was. The Hard Rock team at the Mirage is still matching status to their Unity Players Club program, as I just did this last night. The problem is that the $100+ in points for MGM matches ended in early January of this year. With that change this match isn't really worth worth going out of your way for unless you planned on gambling at the Mirage, or other Hard Rock properties, and could use the perks of status. However, it IS worth going out of your way for if you stack this match with another status match happening at nearby Fontainebleau Las Vegas. If you play that one, two punch right you can earn $150 in dining credit and $150 in spa credit.

Las Vegas Hard Rock Status Match

Unity By Hard Rock Status Match Details

Hard Rock, being the smart company they are, is looking to keep loyal MGM Mirage gamblers coming to the property. No one that put blood, sweat and tons of dollars into a machine to earn MGM Rewards status is going to be happy starting from scratch at Hard Rock. Because of that Hard Rock is offering players with MGM Rewards status a status match offer. This gets you higher tier status in their program and a nice gift to boot.

Here is how the status match should work for MGM Rewards players:
  • MGM Pearl -> Unity Star
  • MGM Gold -> Unity Legend
  • MGM Platinum -> Unity Icon
  • MGM Noir -> Unity X
Caesars Rewards Matches

They are also matching Caesars Rewards status too. I believe it is Diamond Plus and 7 Stars from Caesars Rewards that match to Unity Icon. Although some standard Diamond members have been able to get Unity Icon too, so it is worth a try. It is possible to match Wyndham Diamond to Caesars Diamond status to get this rolling. You may have that because of your Wyndham Earner Business card and the Diamond status that comes with that.

If you have higher tier status with another brand I would give it a shot as well.

Unity By Hard Rock Benefits At The Mirage & Elsewhere

Here is a breakdown of all of the Unity by Hard Rock benefits for each tier. You want to shoot for Unity Icon status to be able to take advantage of the Fontainebleau Las Vegas status match.

This is an in person match only at the Las Vegas location only.

Turning Your Unity Icon Status Into Fontainebleau Las Vegas Gold Status

Once you have your Unity Icon status from the Hard Rock Las Vegas status match you will want to head down the strip to the newest kid on the block, Fontainebleau. They are once again entertaining status matches from outside casinos. They had one for like the first 12 hours after opening the property before abruptly killing it. Well, it is now back! I plan on going into the Fontainebleau status match in more detail next week, but the Hard Rock status match at the Mirage gives you and opportunity here.

That is because Unity Icon status matches to Gold status at Fontainebleau. That is interesting because Fontainebleau Gold status comes with a $150 dining celebration credit and a $150 spa credit. Once you get your newly matched card you just need to insert it into any slot and voila, you earned your Gold celebration credits.

You may be wondering, why not just match your MGM Rewards or Caesars Diamond status directly to Fontainebleau status? That is because Caesars Rewards Diamond and Diamond Plus status only matches to Fontainebleau (FB) Silver status. Likewise, MGM Rewards Gold status only matches to Silver status at FB. If you match those over to Unity Icon at the Mirage first, then you can match your Unity Icon status to Fontainebleau Gold status.

You are essentially using the Hard Rock Las Vegas status match at the Mirage as a way to supersize a status level you already have. That new status is considered more desirable from Fontainebleau.

Mirage Status Match: ToP Thoughts

The Las Vegas Hard Rock status match may not be as good as it was last year, but it can still open up doors elsewhere. Those doors happen to be located at Fontainebleau, and behind those door they have $150 credits. If you have am upcoming trip to Vegas then this is a way you could discount some of your costs. I love things like this. Using one status, to leverage another status into getting something free from a third status. That is where the secret sauce is made!
