British Airways Honoring Mistake Transfer Bonus

I wanted to do a quick PSA on some good news we had to share. The news that British Airways is honoring their mistake transfer bonus from earlier in the month. If you remember, they had a 20% bonus listed on their transfer partners landing page. This made the 20% transfer bonus look like it was coming from British Airways. It was pulled after less than two days without notice. This left people scrambling, and wondering if it would be honored.

People started reaching out to British Airways customer support about the 20% transfer bonus as soon as it was pulled. It had been more than 24 hours since they transferred Ultimate Rewards to the airline, but no bonus had posted. The customer service agents were initially very confused and kept saying to contact Chase, where the transfer bonuses normally come from.

After several days of this, people had kind of given up. It didn't seem like British Airways was going to honor their mistake. That was until today when ToP Facebook Group member Kedrick reported the bonus miles finally hitting their account. Hopefully we see more and more positive data points rolling in. If you never reached out to their customer service line then you may want to open up a claim now.
