Bonus Hyatt Points For Recurring Payments
There is a new promotion that can earn you 5,000 points for our favorite hotel chain. The bonus Hyatt points for recurring payments promotion slid into my inbox yesterday, and gives me a chance to earn enough points for a category 1 hotel stay. Having said that, I probably won't be pursuing it. I'll get into why that is in a bit, but let's take a look at the offer details first.

The offer details to earn the 5,000 bonus Hyatt points for recurring payments are a bit cumbersome, and as follows:
- Set up and make at least 3 monthly recurring payments with 3 different service providers for 3 consecutive months by November 30, 2025 in the select categories listed below and you’ll receive 5,000 Bonus Points.
- Fitness clubs & gym memberships
- Internet, cable, & phone services
- Local transit & commuting
- Utilities
To set up a recurring payment, simply do so with your service provider using your World of Hyatt Credit Card. You will then be automatically enrolled in this offer—no further action needed.

Why I May Give This Offer A Pass
Changing over 3 recurring payments to my World of Hyatt card for 3 months is a bit too much of a pain. Although, maybe I could do small partial payments and complete the goal? That may be worth a try. I wonder if they are able to tell what is a charge and what is an auto charge? If you do need to go through all of the hoops then I don't know that this is worth it for 5,000 points. Especially if you are earning better bonus points with other cards, like 5x with the Chase Ink Cash.
Bonus Hyatt Points For Recurring Payments: ToP Thoughts
The really interesting thing about this bonus Hyatt points for recurring payments offer is that it came from World of Hyatt, not Chase. I would think a spending like offer would normally originate with Chase. It seems like Hyatt would like us to put more spending on our cards. I would guess so that Chase needs to buy more points.
If you have a way to do a couple of smaller payments in the categories then I might give it a shot. You could see if that triggers the 5,000 bonus points after 3 months. Otherwise, I would probably just stick with what I have set up – unless I am not earning bonus points on the charges already.
Let me know if you saw this Hyatt payments offer in your email, and if you plan on doing it, over in the ToP Facebook Group.
