Award Availability to Australia
American Airlines has a good amount of award availability to Sydney, Australia (SYD) in business class for the spring of 2024. Thanks to Travel on Point(s) Facebook group member Megan B. for pointing this out. These awards are available out of Los Angeles (LAX) on American's only non-stop route to Australia.
Award Availability to Australia Business and First Class Details
American typically flies a 777-300 to SYD, which has a first class cabin and is also equipped with their flagship business class. There are worse ways to take a 15+ hour flight!
Below are the availability details. We searched for 2 seats.
First class availability from LAX to SYD is only showing up on a few very limited dates. There is a lot more first class availability for the return (see below).
Outbound flights from LAX to SYD are showing business class availability on the following dates:
- January 25-26
- February 1-2, 9, 15-16, 22-24, 29
- March 2, 7-9, 14, 16, 21-22, 28-29
Return flights from SYD in first class are available on the following dates:
- January 18, 21-22, 27-28
- February 2-3, 7, 12, 15, 18-19, 21, 24
