Grocery Amex Offer
There is a new grocery Amex Offer that I think many will be happy to see on their accounts. This is one of the better ones we have seen for grocery shopping. If you maximize it then you will be able to get 10% off your grocery purchases, plus whatever your credit card earns on the purchase. If that is on a Blue Cash Preferred card, that is an additional 6% back in cashback.
Remember that all Amex Offers are targeted offers and not everyone will get them. You should check each one of your American Express cards.
Offer Details
Here are the details for this grocery Amex Offer:
- Earn 10% back as a statement credit after using your enrolled eligible Card to make purchases in-store or online at a U.S. supermarket by 12/31/2024.
- Limit of $20 back in total statement credits.
Another offer option:
- Earn $5 back after a $30+ purchase, which can be done up to 4 times
- Limit of $20 total back in statement credits
Sometimes they offer a similar offer, but with Membership Rewards instead as well.
Offer Terms
Here are some notable terms from the offers:
- Enrollment limited.
- Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem.
- Only U.S.-issued American Express® Cards are eligible.
- Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels.
- Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card.
- Offer valid for in-store and online eligible purchases at U.S. Supermarkets.
- An “eligible purchase” means a purchase made with your enrolled Card at a U.S. supermarket location by 12/31/24.
- “Supermarket” means a standalone merchant in the U.S. primarily selling supermarket products. Excludes gasoline purchases and gift card purchases.
- Specialty Food Stores, Superstores, and Warehouse Clubs are not considered Supermarket stores.
- Excludes pharmacy and indoor vendor purchases such as coffee shops and restaurants.
- Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 12/31/24, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase.
- Limit 1 enrolled Card per American Express Card online account.
Grocery Amex Offer: ToP Thoughts
The wife and I came up snake eyes on these offers. Getting $20 off continually rising grocery costs would have been nice. I love these type of Amex Offers, ones where it isn't tied to a specific store and is more of a catch-all offer. Hopefully people get one of these on their Amex Gold or Hilton Surpass to double dip the bonus on supermarkets.
