Bank Of America Free Museum Dates

One of the most underrated perks out there comes via Bank of America (BOA). Yes, you heard that right, not Chase, Amex or Citi but Bank of America offers a sneaky good card perk. That perk is the Bank of America Museums on Us program. This is a program that has been around several years and gives BOA customers free tickets to select museums. In this article I will go over Bank Of America free museum dates, participating locations and all of the Museums on Us details you need to know.

Update 11/2/24: This weekend is another free museum weekend for Bank of America cardholders.

How Does Museums On Us Work?

You may be thinking, I can free museum tickets? Sign me up! I am right there with you. This is a perk offered to Bank of America, Merrill or Bank of America Private Bank (U.S. Trust) credit card or debit card holders. Yes, a checking account debit card will snag you free access too! Bank of America has worked out a deal with certain museums around the country that give you free access on the first weekend of every month. Remember that only the cardholder gets a free ticket though. However, if each person is your party has a Bank of America card then you can each get a free ticket.

What do you have to do to get this free ticket? You only need to show one of the cards listed above at the ticket desk at one of the museums that participate in the program. Once they see a card with your name on it they will hand over your free ticket. It is really that simple.

My Favorite Museum On The List & Others I Want To Check Out

My favorite museum on the list is The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. It is probably my favorite museum anywhere honestly. The museum has a lot more than just cars. There are airplanes, the Rosa Parks bus (who they outbid the Smithsonian for and they let you actually sit on it while they tell her story), the chair Abraham Lincoln was shot in and so much more. It is also attached to Greenfield Village, which has a bunch of historical houses etc. they brought in and feels like a small city, but that isn't a part of the program unfortunately.

Some other museums from the list I would love to check out while traveling are the Andy Warhol museum in Pittsburg, the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum and MET in New York City and the Anchorage museum. We had tried to check it out on our trip to Alaska a few years ago but it was closed.

Bank of America Museums On Us Free Tickets Dates: ToP Thoughts

I beg of you not to overlook this program if you have a Bank of America or Merrill card (literally any card issued from either). It can offer you free access, or basically half off if you are bringing kids etc. Some of the museums on this list are world class and can cost $25-$50 for entry. The Bank of America Museums on Us program flies under the radar and many people don't seem to know about it. Consider yourself lucky that you now know about this awesome free credit / debit card perk.
