Capital One Business Checking Bonus

There is a new Capital One business checking bonus offer that is back live again, and this time it doesn't require a Capital One business credit card to be eligible. This is a really good business checking account bonus, so much so that I'll likely be adding it to our roundup of the best nationwide bank bonus offers. Update 10/23/25: This offer is back for a bit (HT DoC)

Offer Details

Here are the details for this Capital One business checking bonus offer:

  • Open a new Basic or Enhanced Checking account with promo code BIZBONUS1000.
  • Deposit required balance from non-Capital One accounts within 30 days of account opening.
    • Earn $500 with at least a $5,000 balance
    • Or, earn $1,000 with at least a $30,000 balance.
  • Maintain the minimum required end of day balance for at least 60 days during the first 90 days of account opening.
  • Make 10 qualifying electronic transactions within 90 days of account opening. Qualifying transactions include:
    • Electronic wire
    • Electronic ACH
    • Remote check deposit.
  • Offer expires October 31, 2025

I like that this checking account bonus is fairly straightforward. I wish that they didn't require the 10 transactions, to go along with the deposit requirements, but having ACH listed in there should make it easy to hit.

  • Capital One will deposit the bonus into your new business checking account within 45‑60 days of meeting all the offer requirements.
  • Offer restrictions:
    • Capital One reserves the right to stop taking applications for this offer at any time without notice.
    • Applicants who are users on Capital One Business checking accounts open in the last 180 days are ineligible for the bonus.
    • All applications are subject to approval.
    • Only one account per business will be eligible for the bonus offer.
    • Each account will be eligible for either $500 or $1,000 bonus, depending on the requirements met. Qualifying accounts will only be eligible to earn one bonus.

Also remember that you will receive a 1099 for any bonus money earned. You will want to be sure to budget for that payment come tax time next year. There does not appear to be an early termination fee in the account terms that I could see. I always try to keep mine open 6 months to test the account out and then decide whether to keep or cancel.

Capital One Business Checking Bonus

Account Fees

There are two different Capital One business checking accounts to choose from. They each come with a monthly fee, but they are avoidable if you do the following:

  • Basic Checking account incurs a $15 monthly service fee, which can be waived with a minimum balance of $2,000.
  • Enhanced Checking account incurs a $35 monthly service fee, which can be waived with a minimum balance of $25,000.

Neither one of these fees should be an issue during the offer period. The balance requirements for these offers have you depositing amounts beyond these minimums to earn the bonus.

Capital One Business Checking Bonus: ToP Thoughts

I recently went after the $500 bonus, since I already have a chunk of money tied up in a bigger business checking bonus. Goals are goals after all, and I have an uphill climb to hit my bank bonus goal this year. I find it interesting that this Capital One business checking bonus is no longer tied to you holding a business card with them. Maybe it was just a beta testing phase for the offer etc. like they did with the Venture Business X rollout. Let me know if you plan on going after this bonus over in the ToP Facebook Group.
